NORMAN — University of Oklahoma track and field freshman Olivia Lueking was named the women's Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.

The Texas native has had a stellar collegiate season debut, taking first in each meet she has competed at. In her first appearance as a Sooner, Lueking broke the OU indoor school record in women's pole vault, clearing a 14-3.25 (4.35m) at the Arkansas Invite.

In her most recent outing at the Husker Invite, Lueking cleared a personal best, ultimately making the height the new school record, 14-4 (4.37m).

The Sooner is currently ranked No. 1 in the Big 12 for pole vault and ninth in the NCAA. In addition, Lueking is 37th in the world, No. 2 U20 and 27th all-time U20 in world indoors.

Lueking and the squad return to action Friday and Saturday, Feb. 11-12, for the Texas Tech Shootout in Lubbock, Texas.
