Fans Invited to Championship Celebration Saturday

NORMAN — The Oklahoma Softball team invites fans to celebrate its fifth national title Saturday, at 6:30 p.m. CT at Marita Hynes Field. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and admission is free and open to the public on a first come, first served basis.

The Sooners won their fifth national championship Thursday and third in the last five years with a 5-1 win over Florida State in game three of the 2021 Women's College World Series Championship Series.

Fans will hear from head coach Patty Gasso and members of the team, while a fireworks show and autographs will follow the event. National championship merchandise will be available for sale from the Sooner Shop, and the first 1,000 fans will receive a commemorative photo. Limited concessions will also be available. Fans that can't be in attendance can watch the celebration via SoonerSports.tv.
