NAPLES, Fla. — No. 2/2 Oklahoma resumes its regular season this week at the inaugural Calusa Cup in Naples, Fla. The three-day, 54-hole tournament is hosted by the University of Iowa at the par-72, 7,314-yard Calusa Pines Golf Club.Ā 

The Sooners enter the Calusa Cup as one of the hottest teams in the country, rattling off eight consecutive top-three finishes this season, and a win with two runner-up finishes in their last three tournaments. Head coach Ryan Hybl's team is coming off a runner-up placement at the NIT, where redshirt senior Garett RebandĀ took home medalist honors.Ā 

"It's great to be here in Florida for the Calusa Cup this week," Hybl said. "The field is full of really talented teams and we're looking forward to a real challenge this week at a beautiful golf course."

The full field only features nine teams, but five teams inside the top 15,Ā including the nation's top three squads. All in all, the field's nineĀ teams have combined for 13 national championships.

The Sooners' lineup produces one change from the previous three events, swapping freshmen Ben Lorenz in for junior Patrick Welch, who will compete unattached.Ā 

Garett Reband, R-SR, York, S.C. -Ā The All-American makes another appearance in the lineup for Oklahoma after winning the NIT and finished runner-up at the Cabo Collegiate.Ā The redshirt senior jumped up to secondĀ in the latest PGA Tour U rankings after a stellar run this spring. He has amassed 23Ā top-20 finishes and has finished inside the top 15 at his last 10Ā events, marking the most successful stretch of his career. Reband holds the Oklahoma scoring average record at 71.18 and is the only golfer in program history to have a negative score versus par (-0.32).Ā 

Quade Cummins, R-SR, Weatherford, Okla.Ā -Ā Ranked 10th in the PGA Tour U rankings, Quade Cummins is set to make his 42nd appearance for the Crimson and Cream. The all-time rounds of par-or-better owner in Norman is coming off a T14 at the NIT and has accumulated 26 top-25 finishes as a Sooner. His 71.37 career scoring average is good for third in Oklahoma history

Jonathan Brightwell, R-SR, Charlotte, N.C.Ā - All-American Jonathan Brightwell makes his sixth lineup for Oklahoma since transferring last summer. In his most recent tournament, the NIT, the All-American fired three rounds in the 60s en route to a T4 finish. He's finished second for the Sooners in all three of his events this spring, grabbing three top 10s.Ā 

Logan McAllister, JR, Oklahoma City, Okla.Ā - Ranked 38th nationally, McAllister owns two career victories in just 13 events. The OKC product finished alone in second at the George Hannon in March and his 2020-21 scoring average of 71.42 is the second-lowest among qualified players on the team.Ā 

Ben Lorenz, FR, Peoria, Ariz. - The freshman is set to make his debut in the Oklahoma lineup after competing three times as an individual, with a career-best finish of T13 at the Maridoe Invitational last fall.Ā
