TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 1/2 Oklahoma sits in second place entering the final round of the N.I.T. at Omni Tucson National in Tucson, which will tee off on Sunday morning. The Sooners (-26, 2nd) fired rounds of 274 (-14) and 276 (-12) to sit three shots back of the leader, No. 16/8 Oklahoma State (-29, 1st), whose second-round score of 272 (-16) was the low-round of the day.

All five golfers in Oklahoma's lineup are under-par after 36 holes for the first time this spring season. The five's rounds on Saturday helped OU to its seventh-lowest 36-hole score (550) in program history.

Garett Reband (-9, T3) led the Sooners in the first two rounds, firing scores of 67 (-5) and 68 (-4) to grab a share of third with 18 holes left to play. The York, S.C., product is on a tear, carding four rounds in the 60s over his last eight rounds and hasn't finished outside of the top-15 in nine events.

Jonathan Brightwell and Quade Cummins share 12th after the two both fired back-to-back scores of 69 (-3).

For Cummins (-6, T12), his two rounds of par-or-better give him the school record at 77, passing Grant Hirschman on Saturday. The redshirt senior has 25 top-20 finishes in 40 events for the Crimson and Cream.

Brightwell (-6, T12) carded a clean second round, sinking three birdies and 15 pars to remain inside the top 15. The All-American has notched back-to-back top-10 finishes entering the weekend, and can make it three straight with a strong round on Sunday morning.

Logan McAllister (-2, T27) led the Sooners early in the day and was 4-under at one point, but finished his 36-hole day 2-under for the day, after carding a 69 (-3) and 73 (+1) to sit 27th after the first day.

Patrick Welch (-1, T38) wrapped up the Oklahoma lineup in a tie for 42nd, firing a 73 (+1) and 70 (-2) to move up in the afternoon.

The Sooners will make a run at their third victory of the season when they tee off on Sunday at 9:30 CT.
