AUSTIN — The top-ranked Oklahoma men's golf team travels south to Austin, Texas, this week for the George Hannon Collegiate hosted by Big 12 rival Texas at their home course, the par-71, 7,372-yard UT Golf Club. The 54-hole tournament will have teams play 36 holes on Monday, followed by a final 18 on Tuesday to determine a champion.
The Sooners are fresh off a win versus the toughest field in college golf at the Cabo Collegiate and enter the week as the consensus No. 1 team in the country.
"We're just excited to get back at it this week," head coach Ryan Hybl said. "We haven't gotten a chance to play down here, so we're looking forward to the challenge against a good field as we continue building toward our goals."
The full field of 13 showcases eight Big 12 teams, including three other top-25 teams.

OU LINEUP
The Sooners' lineup remains the same as the winning combo from the Cabo Collegiate that has accumulated 77 top-20 finishes, along with 50 top 10s.
All-American Garett Reband grabs the first bag for the Sooner after a runner-up finish at the Cabo Collegiate. He owns T11 and runner-up finishes this spring and has been under par at both tournaments since the restart. The redshirt senior currently sits in eighth in the PGA Tour U rankings, one spot behind fellow Sooner Quade Cummins. The runner-up finish at the Cabo was the sixth top-five placement of Reband's career and 21st top 20.
Fellow All-American Jonathan Brightwell makes his his second appearance of the spring season after grabbing a share of fifth at the Cabo Collegiate to help power the Sooners to a win. The transfer is ranked 25th nationally by Golfweek and is seeking his 21st top-20 finish.
Patrick Welch, the fifth-ranked golfer in the nation and Haskins Award watch list honoree, will grab the third bag for the Sooners. The junior has erupted onto the scene in 2020-21, finishing inside the top-25 at every event this season, highlighted by a win at the East Lake Cup and five top-10 finishes in his last seven tournaments. As a freshman, he was an honorable mention All-American, and he owns the Oklahoma school record for scoring average vs. par.
Logan McAllister, ranked 37th nationally, is the four bag for the Sooners for the third consecutive week. In just 12 collegiate events, the Oklahoma City product has produced a pair of wins and six top 20s.
All-American Quade Cummins will make his 40th appearance as a Sooner and his 73 rounds of par or better are the second most all-time at OU, just three off Grant Hirschman's record. The redshirt senior can notch a team-high 25th top-20 finish of his career with a strong performance in Austin.
Redshirt senior Thomas Johnson and freshman Ben Lorenz are set to compete as individuals for the Sooners. For Johnson, it's his 18th appearance as a Sooner and second of the spring. Lorenz, who would be ranked second nationally in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings if he met the minimum rounds threshold appears for the second time after a T13 finish at Maridoe in the fall.
