FORT WORTH, Texas — The top-ranked Oklahoma men's golf team is set to continue its fall season this week at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, where it will look to defend its team title from 2020 at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event pits the Sooners against eight of the country's top-20 teams at the par-70, 7.204-yard course that hosts the Charles Schwab Challenge on the PGA Tour.

The tournament is formatted as the standard five-count-four tournaments and showcases five teams ranked in the latest top 10, led by No. 1 Oklahoma, who once again ascended into the top spot following a win at the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational. The Sooners completed a comeback on the final day to win at Maridoe, erasing a 10-shot deficit over the final 13 holes to knock off No. 5 Texas on the final hole. Chris Gotterup sunk the tournament-winning putt on 18 to finish in a tie for third at 6-under for the week, while Patrick Welch and Drew Goodman shared 11th. Those three, paired with All-American Logan McAllister and redshirt freshman and former top-10 recruit Jaxon Dowell will complete the Oklahoma lineup at Colonial.

FORMAT
