25 Rowers Claim Big 12 Academic Honors

NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma rowing team earned 25 spots on the 2020 Academic All-Big 12 Rowing Team, surpassing last year's total of 17. The conference announced Friday the 197 student-athletes receiving the academic honors.
Of the 25 Sooners, 19 student-athletes were named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team, while six were named to the second team.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher, either cumulatively or in the previous two semesters. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of acadmeic residence.
Student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.20 or higher, either cumulatively or for the previous two semesters, to qualify for first-team honors. Second-team honorees carry a 3.00-3.19 GPA.
Four Sooners were recognized among 21 total honorees for earning a 4.00 GPA: Cameron Guild, Nicole Molina, Amber Templin and Rachel Williams.
