Reband Named Jack Nicklaus Award Finalist

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma men's golf returning senior Garett Reband has been announced as a finalist for the 2020 Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year award, the Golf Coaches of America announced Thursday.
Reband has competed in all events for the Sooners this season, posting a 69.39 scoring average. He posted six of his 18 rounds in the 60's and gained six top-10 finishes. His best finish came at the Puerto Rico Classic where he tied for first after firing a 207 (-9).
The Ft. Worth, Texas, native has had an electric award season. The Sooner was named to the Haskins Final Watch List. He earned a spot of the 2020 U.S. Palmer Cup team as well as being announced as a Ping First-Team All American. The Senior also landed on the 2020 Ben Hogan Award Watch List.
Reband is among five finalists for the award. The award winner will be announced during the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide on July 13-19.
