Reband Earns Big 12 Golfer of the Month

NORMAN — Oklahoma senior Garett Reband was named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month for February, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Reband took home a share of first place at the Puerto Rico Classic last month. He shot a nine-under 207 to take home his first individual win as a Sooner.

The Ft. Worth, Texas native led the team to a second-place finish in the team's spring season opener in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. OU carded an 834 (-30) to collect their fifth top five finish this season. Reband posted a second round 67 (-5) at the Puerto Rico Classic, his fourteenth round under par this season.

The senior recently went bogey-free in his final round at the Southern Highlands Collegiate to post a 67 (-5) and finish tied for thirteenth.

The Sooners travel to Tucson, Ariz. on Mar. 16th to compete at the N.I.T. at Omni Tucson National.
