NORMAN – The Oklahoma wrestling team (3-6 overall, 1-5 Big 12) will look to get its second Big 12 win on Friday when Air Force (4-5 overall, 1-4 Big 12) comes to Norman for a 7 p.m. dual inside McCasland Field House.
LAST TIME OUT
The Sooners fell 22-14 to No. 18 Iowa State at home on Sunday, Feb. 9. Oklahoma won two of the three ranked matchups but were on the wrong end of four major decisions, stifling a late comeback attempt.
Anthony Madrigal was victorious over No. 16 Todd Small at 133, giving the OU sophomore his 10th win over a ranked opponent this season. At 141, reigning Big 12 champion
Dom Demas took care of No. 8 Ian Parker in sudden victory to earn his 20th win of the season, improving to 8-1 in dual action.
Justin Thomas collected his third fall of the season when he pinned Grant Stotts at 157. The final Sooner victory of the dual came from
Jake Woodley at 197 via a 7-3 decision over Joel Shapiro.

For the third consecutive week the Sooners have five wrestlers ranked in the top 25 of their respective weight classes. The following rankings are listed in the order of Flo Wrestling/InterMat/TrackWrestling.

Four of OU's five 2018-19 NCAA qualifiers are in this season's starting lineup:

Jake Woodley (197). OU's returning qualifiers have combined for an impressive 57-30 record on the season. In dual action, Demas, Moody, Thomas and Woodley are a combined 24-10.
In addition to the four returning qualifiers,
Anthony Madrigal (133) and
Anthony Mantanona (174) have both been solid veterans for the Oklahoma squad. Madrigal (17-7) has gone 10-2 against ranked opponents, defeating then-Nos. 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 23 and 25. Mantanona (15-6) leads the team in wins via fall with nine pins, including five in his last seven victories.

The Sooners boast four wrestlers in their lineup who have seven wins in dual action:

Anthony Mantanona (174). The four are a combined 69-23 this season and 30-6 in duals.
Jake Woodley (197) is on the cusp of the seven-win club after claiming his last two bouts by decision to improve to 6-3.
DEMAS DOMINATING
Redshirt sophomore
Dom Demas (141) has carried the momentum from his All-American season into the 2019-20 campaign. The reigning Big 12 champion is 8-1 in dual action and has earned top-three finishes at all three tournaments: second place at the Michigan State Open, first place at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic and third place at the Cliff Keen Invitational. The Columbus, Ohio, native leads the team in wins (20) and technical falls (5) and is second in pins (4).
MAGNIFICENT MADRIGAL
Anthony Madrigal continues to impress in his sophomore campaign at 133. The Oak Park, Ill., native has surpassed his win total from his freshman year (16), boasting a 17-7 record as a sophomore. His 10 wins over ranked opponents are four more than anyone else on the team.
MANTANONA THE MAN
Anthony Mantanona (174) has been on a tear during his redshirt sophomore season, tallying a team-high nine pins, good for eighth most in the country and tied for the most of any 174-pounder in Division I. He is 7-2 in duals this season and owns a 15-6 overall record.
SERIES HISTORY
Friday night's dual will mark the fifth time that Oklahoma and Air Force have met. The previous four contests were all won by the Sooners. The teams met on Feb. 15, 2019, in Colorado Springs with OU registering four major decisions in the 31-9 win.
SCOUTING THE FALCONS
Air Force is coming off a two-dual weekend where the Falcons fell to then-No. 11 Oklahoma State, 37-3, and defeated Cal Poly, 29-14. The Falcons have no wrestlers ranked in Flo/InterMat/Track in the latest polls.

Friday's contest with Air Force will be held at McCasland Field House at 7 p.m. CT. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and fans can pick up free takedown signs, posters and schedule cards. The first 150 fans will also have the opportunity to pick up a free OU Wrestling coffee mug.
