Mercuri Heads to Worlds with Canadian Junior National Team

NORMAN — University of Oklahoma Rowing incoming freshman Hailey Mercuri was recently named to the Canadian Junior National Team and will participate for Canada at the World Rowing Junior Championships August 7-11 in Tokyo, Japan.
Mercuri, from Ontario, Canada, is one of 16 Canadian athletes that was named to the junior national team in July. She will race in the doubles portion of the competition in Tokyo beginning August 7.
The incoming Sooners freshman recently won gold in the senior women's 1x at the Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Association Championships in St. Catharines, Ontario.
The junior worlds regatta will take place on Sea Forest Waterway in Tokyo. More information can be found here.
