NORMAN – The No. 7 Oklahoma men's golf team heads into the final round of the Carmel Cup in first place. The three-day, 54-hole tournament is being held at the iconic par-72, 6,828-yard Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, Calif.

In the second day of play, the Sooners fired a 350 (-10) as a team and sit in first place. Each team in the event is competing with six golfers, and the low five scores count toward the team total each round.

Garett Reband remains in first after carding a 70 (-2). The senior is nine-under for the tournament. Reband heads into Sunday's final round in first place at 135 (-9). Reband carded four birdies during his round.

"We always talk about putting ourselves in a position to have a chance to win and we have that opportunity tomorrow," head coach Ryan Hybl said. "Turner had another great day and he continues to impress. We will need everyone in the game tomorrow from start to finish."

Freshman Turner Hosch continues to show out for the Sooners in his career debut. Hosch is tied for second at 136 (-8) through 36 holes as the freshman pocketed six birdies during the second round. Senior Quade Cummins shot 69 (-3) moving up the leaderboard and is now tied for 10th.

Jake Holbrook posted an even par 72 for the Sooners and sits in a tie for 13th at 141 (-3). Thomas Johnson showed improvement in the second round, also recording a 72. Johnson is tied for 37th at (+6) for the tournament.

Blake Lorenz is in 41st at 151 (+7) going into Sunday after posting a 76 (+4).
