December 22, 2019 | Women's Basketball

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – The Oklahoma women's basketball team saw its winning streak come to an end Sunday as the Sooners fell to No. 2 UConn 97-53 in the Hall of Fame Women's Basketball Showcase.

With the loss, OU completes the non-conference slate at 7-5 while UConn remains undefeated at 10-0.

The Huskies' Olivia Nelson-Ododa led all players with 27 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks. Megan Walker added 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Huskies. Crystal Dangerfield finished with 19 points.

Sophomore guard Taylor Robertson led the Sooners with 24 points to mark her fourth consecutive game with 20 or more points. Robertson hit seven 3-pointers in the contest and added four rebounds, a block and a steal. Ana Llanusa joined Robertson in double figures with 11 points and Madi Williams pulled down eight rebounds on the day.

"I'm probably biased," said head coach Sherri Coale of Robertson. "I have ... the best shooter in the country. She's terrific. Love her confidence. Haven't seen a stage too big (for her) to handle."
