NORMAN – University of Oklahoma head women's basketball coach
Jennie Baranczyk announced the signing of former five-star prospect and 2025 McDonald's All-American Jordan Speiser on Tuesday.
A 6-1 guard from Warrenton, Mo., Speiser arrives in Norman as a rising sophomore after spending her freshman season at Kansas State. She appeared in 37 games, averaging 10.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 35% from 3-point range for the Wildcats.
Speiser is the second addition to Oklahoma's transfer class, joining Norman native and five-star prospect Keeley Parks, who was announced Monday.
"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Jordan to Norman," Baranczyk said. "She had a great freshman season and has already shown the ability to impact the game at a high level. She brings toughness, versatility and a competitive edge that fits perfectly with how we want to play. She's a great addition to our program on and off the court, and we're excited for Sooner Nation to see what she can do."
During her freshman campaign at Kansas State, Speiser played in 37 games with three starts, averaging 22.9 minutes per contest. She was one of just two Power Four freshmen nationally to average at least 10.0 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting better than 34% from beyond the arc. She led the Wildcats in scoring eight times and recorded 20 games with double-figure points, including two 20-point performances.
Speiser elevated her play during Kansas State's run in the Big 12 Tournament, averaging 15.7 points on 50% shooting to earn Big 12 All-Tournament Team honors. Four of her five highest-scoring games came against NCAA Tournament teams, including 21 points vs. Oklahoma State, 19 vs. Ole Miss, 17 vs. Iowa State and 16 vs. TCU.
Prior to her collegiate career, Speiser was a consensus top-20 prospect in the 2025 class, ranked No. 14 by Prospects Nation, No. 16 by ESPN and No. 19 by 247Sports. A McDonald's All-American, she also competed in the Jordan Brand Classic and represented the United States at the 2025 Nike Hoop Summit.
One of the top shooters in her class, Speiser shot 55% at Nike Nationals and 47% across EYBL competition as a senior. At Lutheran High School of St. Charles County, she was a two-time Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Class 5 All-State selection and led her team to a state championship in 2023 and a runner-up finish in 2025. As a senior, she averaged 23.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
Speiser joins an Oklahoma program coming off back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances under Baranczyk, a national coach of the year semifinalist. With her addition, the Sooners' roster features five ESPN top-70 prospects from the 2025 class: No. 3
