The Sooners will look to get their first conference win of the season when they face Kansas State on Thursday. The match is one of four home Big 12 matchups for the Sooners and the first of three in a row. OU will host Kansas, Baylor and Texas and play TCU, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Iowa State and Oklahoma State on the road.

THE WEEKEND RECAP
The Sooners opened conference play by picking up one point in the Big 12 standings. In the league opener on Thursday, OU dropped a 2-0 match to TCU. The Horned Frogs earned two penalty kicks in the first 21 minutes of play, converting both opportunities to put away the match early. On Sunday, the Sooners drew Texas Tech, 1-1, after 110 minutes of action. With OU trailing by a goal, Kaylee Dao came through in the 84th minute to force overtime. It was the first goal scored by the Sooners against Texas Tech since the 2014 season.

SERIES HISTORY
The Sooners are 2-0-0 against Kansas State all-time. In 2017, the teams met for the first time as Kansas State had its inaugural season in the Big 12. The Sooners prevailed in a 3-2 thriller in Norman to earn their first victory over the Wildcats. In 2018, OU travelled to Manhattan, picking up a 1-0 win on the road.

DAO SENIOR CLASS CANDIDATE

A two-time All-Big 12 first team honoree and 2018 All-Region second team honoree, Dao has started every game for the Sooners and played all but 12 minutes this season. Through 10 games, Dao leads the team with eight goals, including two game winners and three penalty kick conversions. She has moved in to fourth all-time in OU history with 24 career goals and fourth all-time with eight game winners.

Dao completed her undergraduate degree with a double major in environmental sustainability and social sciences and organizational studies in Aug. 2019. A redshirt senior, she is working toward a master's degree in human relations and currently boasts a 4.0 GPA.
