Sooners Split for Head of Charles, Jayhawk Jamboree

NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma rowing team returns to the water this Sunday for a pair of regattas across the country.
Two Sooners' boats will take part in the prestigious Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass., while the rest of the team will compete in Lawrence, Kan., at the Jayhawk Jamboree.
The Sooners are coming off a solid season-opening performance at the Head of the Oklahoma. The season-opener in OKC was highlighted by a victory by Oklahoma's B boat in the collegiate 4+ competition. The Sooners collected four top-five finishes on the day and capped the day with a second-place spot in the evening's night sprints 8+ grand final.
The OU boats in Boston will race in fours competition at approximately 1 p.m. CT on Sunday prior to the Sooners' eights racing around 1:45 p.m. CT.
Sooners racing in Lawrence will begin at 11 a.m. CT and run throughout the afternoon with the 300m sprints capping OU's day at 2:15 p.m.
