Four Sooners to Play in U.S. Amateur

NORMAN – Four players from the Oklahoma men's golf team will represent the Sooners at the 2018 U.S. Amateur, held at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Aug. 13-19.

Senior Brad Dalke, redshirt junior Quade Cummins, junior Garett Reband and freshman Patrick Welch qualified for the event.

Dalke automatically qualified for the event due his World Amateur Golf ranking. Cummins finished as the runner-up at his qualifier in Midland, Texas on July 25. Reband and Welch took third place at their respective qualifying events.

The event will be played at Pebble Beach Golf Links, while Spyglass Hill Golf Course will serve as the stroke play co-host.

Two rounds of stroke play will take place at each course. The top 64 players after the 36-hole stroke play competition will advance to match play at Pebble Beach.
