NORMAN – Two members of the Oklahoma rowing team will be competing at the 2018 World Rowing Under 23 Championships from July 25-29 in Poznan, Poland.
Sophomore Maria Pergouli will take part in the lightweight single for Greece and incoming freshman Silvia Crosio will race with the lightweight double for Italy.
Pergouli earned a couple conference accolades in her first season with the Sooners. As a member of the 1V8 who finished second at Big 12 Championships, the Thessalonki, Greece, native earned Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and was named to the All-Big 12 Team.
Crosio will arrive at OU in the fall bringing plenty of European and international experience to Norman. Recently, she claimed bronze at the 2017 European Junior Championships and finished fourth at the 2017 World Rowing Junior Championships.
