Sooners Head West for The Goodwin

NORMAN — The No. 6 Oklahoma men's golf team continues its spring season on Thursday at The Goodwin in San Francisco, Calif. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will take place March 29-31 (Thursday-Saturday) at the par-71, 7,143-yard at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.

The 25-team field includes six squads ranked in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings top 25. The Sooners are returning to competition after their winning the Lone Star Invitational in San Antonio, Texas. OU fired its second-lowest 54-hole total of the season with a score of 849 (-15) at the event. Junior Brad Dalke earned his second individual tournament title of his career with a three-round 208 (-8).

OU's lineup at The Goodwin will feature Dalke, senior Grant Hirschman and redshirt sophomore Quade Cummins. Hirschman is coming off a third-place finish at the Lone Star Invitational with a 210 (-6), while Cummins tied for sixth place at 214 (E).

Sophomore Riley Casey and junior Blaine Hale return to the OU lineup this weekend. Casey won the Puerto Rico Individual Classic on Feb. 20, while Hale tied for 10th as an individual at last week's Lone Star Invitational.

THE COURSE

The par-71, 7,143-yard Harding Park Golf Course serves as the site for The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford University. The course is set to host the 2020 PGA Championships.

FORMAT

The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at TPC Harding Park. The Sooners will tee off from hole No. 1 at 2:55 p.m. CT. OU is paired with Cal and Stanford in the first two rounds.
