Abraham Ancer Secures PGA Tour Card

NORMANĀ āĀ Former Sooner standout Abraham Ancer secured his PGA Tour card for the upcoming season by tying for second at the Web.com Tour's Winco Foods Portland Open on Sunday.
Ancer claimed a top-25 finish on the Web.com's 2016-17 money list to lock up a spot as a PGA Tour member.
On the Web.com Tour this season, Ancer has recorded three runner-up finishes, all within the last two months, and finished in the top 10 on six different occasions.
The Mission, Texas, native has earned $295,528 on the Web.com Tour this season.
This is the second time Ancer has earned his PGA Tour card, qualifying in 2016.
At Oklahoma, Ancer finished second in program history in career scoring average in relation to pair with a 72.42. He also ranks third on OU's all-time birdie list with 352 and he finished his career with 57 rounds of par or better before turning pro in 2013.
