No. 5 OU Set for Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate

NORMAN – The No. 5 Oklahoma men's golf team heads to Alpharetta, Ga., this weekend for the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played Friday-Sunday (Oct. 20-22) at the par-72, 7,017-yard Golf Club of Georgia.
The 15-team field includes four squads currently ranked in the Golfstat top five and nine in the top 25. OU is back in action after claiming the team title at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 1-3. Juniors Brad Dalke and Blaine Hale paced the Sooners, tying for seventh at 205 (-8). The Sooners have finished in the top three as a team in their first three events this year.
The Sooners' lineup at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate will feature senior Grant Hirschman, Dalke, Hale and sophomores Garett Reband and Riley Casey.

- Blaine Hale, Junior: Carded a career-low 64 (-7) in the first round of the Nike Collegiate Invitational and finished the tournament tied for seventh place at 205 (-8) … Named a 2017 Division I PING All-America honorable mention selection ... Competed in 13 team events last season … Helped the Sooners secure the 2017 national championship by going 2-1 in NCAA Championships match play, earning wins in the semifinal and final matches.
- Garett Reband, Sophomore: Recorded four birdies during the final round of the Nike Collegiate Invitational and finished tied for 23rd place at 211 (-2) … Had career-best weekend at the Carmel Cup, taking third place at 203 (-13), his first top-5 finish at OU … Reband's 203 at Pebble Beach was a 54-hole career-low … He also tied his 18-hole low score of 67, twice, at the event.
- Riley Casey, Sophomore: Carded a three-day total of 208 (-5) at the Nike Collegiate Invitational, ranking as his lowest 54-hole score as a Sooner and marks his third career top-20 finish … Shot 213 (-3) at the Carmel Cup, tying for 23rd …Competed in seven events as a freshman … Posted season-low round (68) at the Prestige at PGA West.
THE COURSE
The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate will be played at the par-72, 7,017-yard Golf Club of Georgia course for all three rounds.
FORMAT
Fifty-four holes will be played over three days. OU's first round will begin Friday morning at 8:41 a.m. CT on hole No. 10.

OU'S GOLF CLUB OF GEORGIA COLLEGIATE HISTORY
This marks the Sooners' third straight appearance in the tournament, which was called the U.S. Collegiate Championship until two seasons ago. Last year, OU placed sixth with a three-round 859 (-5), and Max McGreevy received co-medalist honors tying for first individually.
