NORMAN – University of Oklahoma golfer Brad Dalke qualified for the round of 64 match play at the 116th U.S. Amateur on Tuesday. The elite competition is taking place at the Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

Dalke finished the second round of stroke play in a tie for 30th place with an overall 140 (E). The rising sophomore put together a strong showing, carding a 69 (-1) in Monday's first round and a 71 (+1) in Tuesday's second round.

Out of a field consisting of over 300 of some of the world's best amateur golfers, the top 64 finishers in stroke play advance to the match play bracket. Dalke will face Wake Forest rising junior Will Zalatoris at 11:30 a.m. CT.

OU rising junior Grant Hirschman ended stroke play in a 23-way tie for 57th at 142 (+2). Hirschman did not advance to match play after a playoff was held Wednesday morning for the eight remaining spots.
