NORMAN - No. 14/12 Oklahoma closes out its run of seven straight games in the state of Oklahoma when Wichita State visits Wednesday. OU has gone 5-1 so far during the current swing.

Oklahoma has a 44-7 (.863) all-time advantage over Wichita State, including a 23-3 (.885) mark in Norman. Since OU head coach Patty Gasso arrived in 1995 the Sooners own a perfect 31-0 record against the Shockers.

Parker earned the win as she struck out eight against one walk. She allowed nine hits, but only two runs.
OU has one Kansan on its roster in freshman Brittany Finney, who hails from Wichita, Kan., and Bishop Carroll Catholic HS.
Wichita State has six Oklahoma natives on its roster: senior Liz Broyles from Blanchard, sophomore McKenzie Adams from Broken Arrow, sophomore Mackenzie Wright from Midwest City (Carl Albert HS), freshman Laurie Anne Derrico from Sterling and sophomore Paige Luellen and junior Macklin Hitz, both of whom are from Tulsa and attended Jenks HS.
Hitz and Luellen played with OU senior Erin Miller at Jenks HS.
Through 4/3, among all active pitchers with at least 200 career IP, Paige Parker is eighth with a career ERA of 1.72 and 21st with 15 shutouts ... Oklahoma is the only program to be ranked every week of the NFCA poll, 314 straight polls.
In addition, OU stayed at No. 12 in the latest RPI poll for the third consecutive week.
Fifteen opponents that reached the 2015 NCAA Softball Tournament, including half of the field from the Women's College World Series, highlight Oklahoma's 2016 schedule.
Eight of OU's opponents are ranked in at least one of the two latest polls and seven more are receiving votes. Oklahoma has faced 11 of those 15 opponents so far, going 7-6 (played Minnesota and BYU twice).
