NORMAN — The No. 17 Oklahoma men's golf team continues its spring slate this week at the prestigious Southern Highlands Collegiate. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will take place Monday-Wednesday (March 7-9) at the par-72, 7,510-yard Southern Highlands Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nev.

The 15-team field is one of the most competitive in college golf, featuring nine teams in the top 20 of the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings and 14 in the top 40.

“This is one of those tournaments that our guys look forward to all year long,” OU head coach Ryan Hybl said. “This is our Masters and we are excited to get out to Southern Highlands. It is our time to get going this spring.”

The Sooners are coming off a seventh-place finish at the Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The Sooners fired a three-round 859 (-5), and junior Max McGreevy led the team, placing 11th at 213 (-3) overall.

OU's lineup for the Southern Highlands Collegiate will feature senior Luke Kwon, McGreevy, sophomore Grant Hirschman and freshmen Brad Dalke and Blaine Hale.

1. Max McGreevy, Junior:
Claimed his first career tournament win with a 206 (-7) and a career-low 66 third round at the Gopher Invitational … Led the Sooners at the Puerto Rico Classic with a tie for 11th place, his 13th career top-20 placing … Has five top-20 finishes this season with his showings at the Puerto Rico Classic, UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational (T14th), Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational (T11th), Gopher Invitational and Carmel Cup (T10th).

2. Grant Hirschman, Sophomore: Collected his second career top-five placing at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational with a fourth-place finish after firing a 208 (-5), his career-low 54-hole score … Holds 13 career top-20 finishes, tallying four this season at the UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational (T6th), the Ka'anapali Classic, the U.S. Collegiate (T13th) and the Carmel Cup (T16th) … Coming off a tie for 37th at the Puerto Rico Classic … Named a 2015 Division I PING All-America Honorable Mention selection.

3. Blaine Hale, Freshman: Finished in a tie for 25th in the Puerto Rico Classic, recording his second career round in the 60s with a 69 in the first round … Tied for sixth place at the UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational, his first collegiate event … Pre-collegiate tournament wins include 2014 Bart Granger Memorial, 2014 AJGA David Toms Foundation Classic and 2013 Lanny Wadkins Junior … Named to the Texas UIL 6A All-State first team during his senior year of high school and the Texas UIL 5A All-State first team during his sophomore year.

4. Luke Kwon, Senior: Took first place at the Puerto Rico Individual Classic by seven strokes, shooting each round in the 60s and recording a career-low 67 in the second round and a career-low 54-hole 205 (-8) … Holds one other top-five finish with a second-place finish at the Gopher Invitational … Claimed shares of 10th at the UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational and the Carmel Cup and a tie for 11th at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational to total five top-20 finishes this season.

5. Brad Dalke, Freshman: Led the Sooners at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational at second place overall, his first career top-five finish, with his lowest 54-hole score, 206 (-7) … Earned three top-20 finishes during the fall season with his Ka'anapali Classic showing, a tie for sixth at the Gopher Invitational and a tie for 18th at the U.S. Collegiate … Most recently, finished in a tie for 41st at the Puerto Rico Classic … Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month for November … Won the 2015 Junior PGA Championship.

THE COURSE
The par-72, 7,510-yard Southern Highlands Golf Club will serve as the course for the Southern Highlands Collegiate.

FORMAT
Fifty-four holes will be played over three days, with tee times beginning at 10 a.m. CT each day from holes No. 1 and No. 10

OU'S SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS COLLEGIATE HISTORY
With a three-round 848 (-16), the Sooners placed second in the prestigious event. This year marks OU's fourth consecutive appearance at the tournament.
