Five Sooners Advance to Web.com Final Stage

NORMAN – Oklahoma golf alumni Abraham Ancer, Michael Gellerman, Will Kropp, Charlie Saxon and Michael Schoolcraft have all advanced to the Final Stage of Web.com Tour Qualifying.

The five Sooners, who all competed together during the 2012-2013 season, earn a Web.com Tour card for the 2017 season for making it to the Final Stage.

“It always makes me proud to see our guys be successful once they leave the program,” OU head coach Ryan Hybl said. “All of these guys deserve to be where they are, and I am so excited for them and their families.”

Ancer, Saxon and Schoolcraft qualified based on their individual performances on the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR China and PGA TOUR Canada, respectively.

Gellerman and Kropp made the cut by tying for seventh and 17th, respectively, in the Second Stage event at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas.   

The Final Stage will take place Dec. 8-11 at Orange County National in Winter Garden, Fla. More information on the Web.com Tour can be found on the organization's website.
