Sooners in Kansas for Jayhawk Jamboree

NORMAN – The Oklahoma rowing team returns to the water for the fourth annual Jayhawk Jamboree this Sunday, Oct, 23. The 12-team regatta, hosted by the University of Kansas will take place at the Kansas Rowing Boathouse at Burcham Park in Lawrence, Kan.

Racing begins at 11 a.m. CT and will last until approximately 3:30 p.m. The Sooners will join varsity and club teams from Colorado, Creighton, Drake, Grand Valley State, Iowa, Kansas State, Tulsa, UCO, UMKC and Wichita State, and will compete three varsity eights, a novice eight and in the varsity fours contest.

“We're looking forward to competing against some very good regional teams this weekend,” OU head coach Leeanne Crain said. “The racing should give us a better idea of how we're measuring up against other Big 12 schools early in the season.”
