NORMAN — University of Oklahoma Head Men's Golf Coach Ryan Hybl and Vice President and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione announced the Sooners' 2015-16 tournament schedule Thursday.
The Sooners' 10-tournament regular season schedule is highlighted by trips to some of the most competitive collegiate golf events and the nation's top courses.
“After one of the best schedules in the country last year, we are following it up with an even better one this year,” said Hybl, who is entering his seventh season at OU. “Every week will be PGA Tour like, starting with our trip to Pebble Beach. This is why our guys come to play at OU – to play against the best every week.”
For the second straight year, OU will open its slate Sept. 4-6 at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Club, competing in the Carmel Cup. From there, OU will participate in the Gopher Invitational in Plymouth, Minn., on Sept. 13 and 14 before heading to Portland, Ore., for the Nike Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 4-6.
The Sooners will play in the U.S. Collegiate in Atlanta, Ga., Oct. 16-18 before closing their fall slate Nov. 6-8 at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic in Maui, Hawaii.

OU's spring schedule includes trips to the UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational (Feb. 8-9) in San Antonio, Texas, Puerto Rico Shootout in Rio Mar, P.R. (Feb. 21-23), the highly competitive Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters in Las Vegas, Nev. (March 7-9) and the Aggie Invitational in Bryan, Texas (April 2-3).
Additionally, April 16 and 17 will mark the return of The Maxwell, co-hosted by OU and Oklahoma State at the Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore, Okla. The tournament features a unique format in which all five players from one team player together in a group as opposed to being paired with competitors from other schools.
The Sooners also appeared in six of their scheduled regular season tournaments last year, including the Carmel Cup, Nike Collegiate Invitational, UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational, Puerto Rico Shootout, Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters and the Aggie Invitational.
The 2016 Big 12 Championship will be played April 29 – May 1 (Friday – Sunday) at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas. The 2016 NCAA Regionals will be held May 16-18, while the NCAA Championships are scheduled for May 27-June 1 in Eugene, Ore., at the Eugene Country Club.
