Eight Sooners Named CRCA Scholar Athletes

NORMAN, Okla. – Eight student-athletes from the University of Oklahoma rowing squad earned 2015 Scholar Athlete Awards from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).
The eight athletes to represent the Sooners for the honor are Marissa Beene, Stephanie Busse, Nicasia D'Allesandro, Callie Kinsey, Kim Moldenhauer, Emmie Preskitt, Taylor Spencer and Elizabeth Vernon. The award marks the second straight season Busse, Moldenhauer and Preskitt received the honor.
To achieve the honor student-athletes were required to be in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility and rowed a minimum of 75 percent of spring races for their institution. The student-athlete was also required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 for their career.
The 2015 season marks the sixth consecutive season that Oklahoma has had at least eight selections as CRCA Scholar Athletes.
