The No. 11 seeded Oklahoma softball team (48-7, 14-2 Big 12) will play in the Super Regionals for the sixth straight year after winning the Norman Regional. The Sooners will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to face the No. 6 Crimson Tide (45-12, 17-7 SEC), winners of the Tuscaloosa Regional. The best-of-three series starts Friday night at 6 p.m. on ESPN. Saturday's game two at 4 p.m. will also be on ESPN, while if game three is needed, it will be played at 7 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2.
POSTSEASON EXPERIENCE
Oklahoma is making its ninth overall appearance in the Super Regionals since the format was introduced in 2005. Only three schools have been to more Super Regionals, while OU also ranks sixth in all-time Super Regional wins and is eighth in win pct. of teams that have been to at least five Super Regionals.

SERIES HISTORY
The Sooners are 3-7 all-time against Alabama, with all 10 matchups occurring at neutral sites. Friday marks the first time these two teams will have met on one another's campus.
Five of the 10 meetings between the schools have come in the postseason with OU trailing 2-3 in those games. Oklahoma defeated Alabama, 6-3, in nine innings to stay alive in the 2003 Women's College World Series. The next postseason meeting came in 2012 when the Tide defeated the Sooners in three games to win the national championship.
The schools met last season in the 2014 WCWS, with Alabama winning 6-2 in the teams' opening game. A first-inning home run by Shelby Pendley was the only hit of the game for OU. Erin Miller also scored on an error, but Peyton Grantham's three-run homer proved the difference and Jaclyn Traina struck out nine.
REGIONAL WRAP-UP
Oklahoma went 3-0 at the Norman Regional to win its sixth straight Regional championship. OU has now won 13 straight Regional games and 18 of its past 19 such games.
OU opened the Regional with an 8-0, five-inning no-hitter against Central Arkansas. Paige Parker (4.0 IP) and Kelsey Stevens (1.0 IP) combined to throw the second postseason no-hitter in OU history (Keilani Ricketts vs. Michigan, 2013 WCWS) and the second combined no-hitter in program annals. The big blow came in the first inning on Lea Wodach's grand slam.
The Sooners then defeated Texas A&M twice to advance. In the first meeting, OU scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh, highlighted by a two-run walkoff homer from Erin Miller, to capture the win, 7-5. In the finale, Paige Parker gave up just two hits and struck out seven and added the go-ahead RBI single in the first inning.
PARKER ONE OF THREE FINALISTS FOR TOP FRESHMAN
Paige Parker has been named one of three finalists for the NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year award. In its second year, the NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year trophy will be presented during a live ceremony on May 26 prior to the opening of the annual Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.
Compared to fellow finalists Alexis Osorio (Alabama) and Jenna Lilley (Oregon), Parker compares favorably, especially since she's the only one of the three that both hits and pitches.

A CLASS OF THEIR OWN
The 2015 campaign marks the final seasons for Oklahoma seniors Georgia Casey, Lauren Chamberlain, Callie Parsons, Shelby Pendley and Jessica Vest. Since stepping on campus three years ago (Pendley transferred to OU in 2013), no team has a better win percentage than the OU seniors and only Florida, which has played 10 more games, has more wins.

CHAMBERLAIN, PENDLEY DUBBED 'RUTH AND GEHRIG'
In a Feb. 2 article on ESPNW.com, writer Graham Hays referred to OU's Lauren Chamberlain and Shelby Pendley as the Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig of college softball.
“In Chamberlain and Pendley, Oklahoma has the closest combination college softball might see to Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig,” Hays wrote. “One is the face and voice of a sport, the other the quiet embodiment of excellence. Good luck stopping them.”

PARKER PERFECT FOUR TIMES IN 2015
Paige Parker has had one of the most dynamic freshman seasons in recent history, throwing four perfect games.
She joins Louisiana-Lafayette's Kyla Hall (1994) and Boston U's Audrey West (1994) as the only pitchers in NCAA Division I history to throw four perfect games in a season. No player has thrown five in one season. In addition, Parker is the 16th player in NCAA history to have at least four perfect games in a career.

RECORD-TYING EIGHT SOONERS NAMED ALL-REGION
Oklahoma tied a school record by having all eight nominees named to the 2015 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division I All-Central Region Team.
Lauren Chamberlain, Shelby Pendley, Erin Miller, Kelsey Arnold and Paige Parker were put on the All-Region First Team. Kady Self, Whitney Ellis and Nicole Pendley were placed on the All-Region Second Team.
With her place on the first team, Chamberlain joins Norrelle Dickson, Amber Flores and Keilani Ricketts as the only four-time first-team All-Region players in school history.
It's the second straight season that OU has had eight selections. The only other schools to have eight All-Region choices were Michigan and Oregon. Oklahoma's five first-team honorees tied for third in the country with James Madison and LSU, trailing only Michigan (7) and Oregon (6). The five first-team selections also tied a school record for Oklahoma, matching the mark set by the 2005 and 2007 squads.
