OU Rowing Hosts Tulsa in Saturday Showdown

NORMAN -- The University of Oklahoma rowing team is set to welcome the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes on Saturday, May 2 on the Oklahoma River in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Sooners and Golden Hurricanes will compete head-to-head in six races, with the first beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Five of the six races on Saturday morning will be scored and the winner of the regatta will be announced after the first varsity eight race. Points are awarded in each race according to finish; however, the majority of points up for grabs are in the first varsity eight and second varsity eight races.

OU is coming off a third place finish at the Big 12/Big Ten Dual, as the Sooners bested conference foe Kansas in the event.

Saturday's race marks the first and only home regatta of the spring season for the Crimson and Cream.
