April 09, 2015 | Men's Golf

NORMAN — The No. 10 Oklahoma men's golf team will conclude its regular season slate when it competes at the inaugural Liberty Spring Invitational in Amherst, Va., on April 10 and 11 (Friday and Saturday). The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at the 7,059-yard, par-72 Poplar Grove Golf Course.

The 18-team field features two teams ranked in the Golfstat top 50, including the Sooners and No. 19 North Carolina.

"The golf course up here is great and the guys are excited about the opportunity to follow up last week's win with another great tournament here this week," said Ryan Hybl, sixth-year OU head coach. "The weather will be tough all week, so we are going to have to be patient and grind through the tourney."

The Sooners are coming off their first victory of the season after shooting a three-round 884 (+20) at the Aggie Invitational in Bryan, Texas, last weekend. All five Sooners in this week's lineup placed within the top 20 at the event, led by freshman Grant Hirschman, who took a share of seventh place.

OU's lineup for the Liberty Spring Invitational will include seniors Michael Gellerman and Charlie Saxon, junior Beau Titsworth, sophomore Max McGreevy and Hirschman.
