NORMAN—The No. 14 Oklahoma men's golf team maintains its lead of the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational with a 557 (-11) after totaling 3 under par in Saturday's second round. The three-day, 54-hole tournament is taking place at the par-71, 6,700-yard Royal Ka'anapali Course in Maui, Hawaii.

Georgia, who is No. 17 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, sits six strokes behind OU, and No. 37 NC State is in third at 563 (-3). The Sooners, Bulldogs and Wolfpack are the only squads in the tournament under par. CSU-Northridge holds fourth place at 575 (+7), and No. 21 South Carolina is in fifth at 576 (+8).

“It was a really tough day out there with the wind blowing 20-25 mph all day,” OU head coach Ryan Hybl said. “Our guys fought and hung in there all day. Max played a great round and toted our squad. We are in great shape for tomorrow and we will have to play a great round in order to win.”

Pacing the Sooners is Grant Hirschman, who is tied for second at 137 (-5). The sophomore shot a 70 (-1) in the second round, collecting two birdies and an eagle.

Close by Hirschman is freshman Brad Dalke. After carding a 72 (+1) with four birdies on the day, Dalke holds a share of fourth place with a 138 (-4).

After a setback in the first round, junior Max McGreevy put together an impressive showing in the second. The Edmond, Okla., native canceled out two early bogeys with an eagle and went on to pocket seven birdies on the round. He finished the day with a 66 (-5), tying his career-best round, and advanced 43 places into a tie for eighth with an overall 140 (-2).

Senior Luke Kwon holds a share of 25th place with an overall 144 (+2) after finishing the round with a 75 (+4). Also in a tie for 25th is sophomore Rylee Reinertson, who is competing as an individual and is unattached from team scoring. He struggled in the second round, shooting a 79 (+8).

Freshman Aaron Terrazas rounds out the Sooner lineup and is in a tie for 48th place with a 149 (+7). He showed improvement Saturday, totaling a 73 (+2) and moving up 24 spots in the individual rankings.

The final round of the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational is scheduled to begin Sunday at 12:30 p.m. CT. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com.
