First place in the Big 12 is on the line this weekend as No. 22/15 Oklahoma (25-8, 4-0) hosts Kansas (28-10, 3-0) in a three-game series. Both teams, along with Texas (21-15, 1-0), are unbeaten in conference play. The Sooners are on a season-best seven game winning streak. In each of those games OU has allowed two runs or fewer, outscoring opponents 50-5.

The teams split a two-game series last year in Lawrence, as rain eliminated one game from the weekend set. The loss in the finale snapped an eight-game OU winning streak in the series.
In a 4-2 win, Keilani Ricketts struck out 17 batters, while Georgia Casey drove in two runs. In the second game of the doubleheader, OU suffered its second shutout of the season in a 2-0 loss. Nine runners left on base hurt the Sooners, including two runners left on base in both the second and fourth innings.

SOONERS TAKE BEDLAM PITCHERS' DUEL, 2-0
Kelsey Stevens fired a six-hit shutout as Oklahoma took the opening game of the Bedlam Series against Oklahoma State, 2-0, on Wednesday night. Stevens allowed just six hits and two walks while striking out eight. Between the fourth and seventh innings, she retired 10 straight batters. Erin Miller had an RBI single, while Shelby Pendley connected on a solo home run for some added insurance.
SELF NAMED BIG 12 PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For the first time in her career, sophomore Kady Self has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week. Self was nearly unstoppable in OU's three-game sweep at Iowa State. She reached safely in her first nine plate appearances of the weekend, going 7-7 with three home runs, a double and two walks before flying out to center field in the second inning of Sunday's contest.
For the weekend, Self led the Sooners in runs (7), hits (7), home runs (3), total bases (17) and slugging (1.889).
In Friday's opener, Self finished 3-3 with a pair of home runs, three runs scored and five runs batted in to establish career highs in each category. Self followed that performance Saturday by going 3-3 with three runs scored, two runs batted in, a home run and a walk. Sunday, she picked up another double and a walk as Oklahoma extended its winning streak over the Cyclones to 21 games.
Oklahoma has now won four weekly conference honors as Whitney Ellis (player) and Kelsey Stevens (pitcher) earned the awards on March 11, while Destinee Martinez was recognized as the Big 12 Player of the Week on Feb. 25.

Oklahoma has not suffered a run-rule loss since losing to Texas 15-6 in five innings on March 28, 2009. In that time span, OU has rattled off 82 consecutive run-rule wins. Most recently, the Sooners defeated Iowa State, 11-0, in five innings on March 30.

PENDLEY'S HIT STREAK AT CAREER-BEST 13 GAMES
Shelby Pendley saw her career-best 14-game hitting streak end after going 0-4 at Iowa State on March 29. The streak dated back to a 4-4 performance in game two of a doubleheader against Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Feb. 28.
During the streak, Pendley hit .477 with 21 hits in 44 at-bats. In addition she's slugged 1.045 with a .589 on-base percentage. Pendley had seven home runs, four doubles, 21 RBI and 17 runs scored during her run, which is the longest by an OU player this season and the longest since Lauren Chamberlain's 17-game hitting streak from April 28, 2013 to Feb. 7, 2014.

CHAMBERLAIN SIDELINED WITH BACK INJURY
A back injury, which occurred on March 13, has sidelined Lauren Chamberlain. According to the OU medical staff, the injury typically takes six weeks for recovery.
Chamberlain has not played since the Tulsa contest on March 9 (10 games) after after she had not missed a start in the first 148 contests of her OU career. Prior to her injury, Chamberlain was on a hot streak after a slow start to the 2014 season.
