NORMAN -- The No. 23 Oklahoma men's golf team will complete its fall slate as it heads to Dallas for the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate. The 54-hole, two-day event will be played Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 27 and 28) at the par-71, 7,068-yard Royal Oaks Country Club.
The Sooners are coming off a third-place showing at the 12-team Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas. Senior Michael Gellerman was OU's top finisher, taking fifth place with a 209 (-1), while sophomore Max McGreevy tied for ninth at 5 over par.
Sixth-year OU head coach Ryan Hybl said his squad is looking forward to closing its four-tournament fall schedule close to home.
“We are excited about getting back down to Dallas for our last fall event,” Hybl said. “Our goal is to finish strong and have a chance to win the tournament this week.”
The Royal Oaks Intercollegiate features a format of six players per team, with five scores counting toward the team total. OU's lineup will include Gellerman, juniors Beau Titsworth and Luke Kwon, McGreevy and freshmen Grant Hirschman and Rylee Reinertson.

Luke Kwon, Junior: Tied for 22nd at Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational, a career best in OU team events … Finished 38th at Carmel Cup, his first team event as a Sooner … Played his first season at St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas … Was named a 2011 Division II honorable mention PING All-American.

Beau Titsworth, Junior: Tied for 19th at Olympia Fields CC/Fighting Illini Invitational with a 221 (+11) … Placed on 2014 Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team after taking a share of fifth, a career best for team events, with a 290 (+2) … Scoring average of 72.70 (+1.38) was third-best on team … Pocketed seven eagles last season, one off the OU single-season best.

THE COURSE
The par-71, 7,068-yard Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas serves as the site for the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate.
FORMAT
Fifty-four holes will be played over two days. Tee times are set to begin at 8:30 a.m. CT on Monday with a shotgun start, followed by the second round that afternoon. Tuesday's final round will start with tee times at 8:30 a.m. CT from holes No. 1 and 10.

OU'S ROYAL OAKS INTERCOLLEGIATE HISTORY
The Sooners have participated in the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate each season since it began in 2008. Their best finish came in the event's inaugural year as they tied for second place. Last year, OU took a share of sixth place after shooting a 7-under-par 1058.
