NORMAN -- Thursday night marks the final home contest of the fall exhibition schedule for the University of Oklahoma softball team as the Sooners play host to North Texas. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the contest is scheduled to last for 10 innings.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens (65+) and youth (18 and under). Children under three years of age are admitted free.

Oklahoma is a perfect 5-0 so far in the fall and has posted impressive numbers against the junior college and community college teams it has faced. OU has outscored teams 73-3 and has posted a slash line (batting average/on-base percentage/slugging percentage) of .396/.523/.749, compared to a .090/.136/.158 line for the competition.
Senior Lauren Chamberlain leads the team in several categories this fall, including batting average (.563), hits (9), home runs (3) and slugging percentage. Junior Leslie Miller also has a team-high three homers to tie Chamberlain for the team lead, while fellow junior Whitney Ellis has a team-best 10 runs batted in.
In the circle, the Sooners' staff has combined to allow just three earned runs in 41.0 innings of work for an earned run average of 0.66. Freshman Paige Parker has led the staff with 14.0 innings pitched, striking out 23 batters with just one walk and one hit allowed. Junior Kelsey Stevens has struck out 24 batters to lead the staff and has yet to give up a run in 12.1 innings.
