No. 1 Oklahoma returns home for the first time in three weeks with a three-game series at Marita Hynes Field against Iowa State this weekend. The Sooners have won 15 straight versus the Cyclones and haven't lost in Norman to ISU since April 5, 2003, a streak of 9 games.
Last year, OU swept a three-game set in Ames, winning by a combined score of 27-2. The Sooners hit 4 home runs in a 10-0 win in the series opener. Game two saw OU win its ninth Big 12 title and Lauren Chamberlain set the Big 12 single season home run record in a 12-1, five-inning victory. Oklahoma closed out the sweep with a 5-1 win thanks to a 3-hit shutout from Keilani Ricketts.
TICKETS/PROMOTIONS
All tickets have been sold for Friday's series opener.The first 250 fans on Friday will receive a free popcorn, soda and stadium cup, while a short fireworks show follows the game.
Saturday's contest, which begins at noon, features $4 admission for those with a military ID (subject to availability). In addition, OU football season ticket holders that attend the OU Super Saturday event will be given a coupon to attend the game for $4. Those in attendance will also have a chance to take home a Jessica Shults Senior Saturday poster, while supplies last.
The series closes with another Season Ticket Holder Sunday and all season ticket holders will receive free frozen Minute Maid. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
CONSENSUS NO. 1
For the seventh week in a row, Oklahoma is the consensus No. 1 team in the country.
The Sooners received all 27 of 31 first-place votes in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll and all 16 of 20 votes in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25.
Oklahoma has been ranked No. 1 by USA Softball for 11 straight weeks, while the NFCA has put the Sooners on top for seven weeks in a row.
The Sooners also maintained their spot as the No. 1 team in the fifth installment of the NCAA Division I RPI rankings on April 22. They have been No. 1 each week since the rankings first came out.
FASTEST TO 40
Now 40-3 on the season, the Sooners have reached 40 wins faster than any other team in school history following a 12-1, 6-inning win at North Texas on Tuesday.

ROAD WARRIORS
Friday's home game will be the first for Oklahoma since sweeping Baylor, April 5-7. In between OU played seven consecutive true road games, the team's longest string of road games since April 1-10, 2006 and the fourth-longest stretch in program history.
SOONERS SWEEP WEEKLY BIG 12 HONORS
The Oklahoma softball team has swept the weekly Big 12 conference
honors for the third time this season, it was announced Tuesday.
Senior Brianna Turang was named Big 12 Player of the Week for the first time in her career, while fellow senior Keilani Ricketts was chosen as Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season and 15th time in her career.
Turang was 6-9 and drove in four runs as the Sooners took two of three games at No. 6 Texas. Ricketts earned both of the wins, including a season-high 15 strikeouts in a 6-1 win on Friday.
TAKING ON THE TOP 25
Through April 24, the Sooners lead the nation in wins against top-25 teams (16) and winning percentage against top-25 teams (.842; min. 5 games), while they are tied for fourth in games played against ranked teams (19).
OU won its first eight games of the year against top-25 teams, tying for the school's longest winning streak in such games. The record was initially set March 14-May 12, 2000.
DOMINANT DUO
Oklahoma's 1-2 punch of Keilani Ricketts and Michelle Gascoigne has been dominant in 2013. While Ricketts is 23-1 and Gascoigne is 15-2, each has an ERA under 1.20 and is holding an opponents' batting
average under .156. Ricketts has thrown 13 shutouts, Gascoigne has thrown seven and the pair combined on another.
Gascoigne is averaging 11.3 strikeouts per seven innings and has a 7.2 strikeout-to-walk ratio, while Ricketts' marks in those categories stand at 10.3 and 6.8, respectively.
Ricketts has tallied 10 10+ strikeout games this year and now has 73 for her career. Likewise, Gascoigne has 8 this season and 22 in her career.
SOONERS SWEEP TEXAS TECH
The Sooners swept a three-game series at Texas Tech, winning by a combined score of 28-7.
The highlight of game one's 9-0 win was Keilani Ricketts' no-hitter. She had a strikeout in every inning, finishing with eight punchouts. She walked four but got two double plays to mitigate any damage. Shelby Pendley hit two home runs, while Lauren Chamberlain had one.
Ricketts then showed her dual-threat talents by hitting a pair of home runs in Oklahoma's 6-0 win in game two. Chamberlain also homered for the second time in the series and senior Michelle Gascoigne threw a four-hit shutout.
Chamberlain led the way in a 13-7 win in game three with a career-high four hits. She homered, scored three runs, drove in two and stole her team-leading 10th base of the season.
RICKETTS' NO-HITTERS
With her latest no-hitter against Texas Tech, Keilani Ricketts has thrown four in her career and three this year after starting the 2013 season with no-hitters against No. 21 Stanford and No. 5 Oregon.

Ricketts is now tied with Lauren Eckermann for the most no-hitters in school history, and she also joins Eckermann as the only Sooner to throw three no-hitters in a single season. Eckermann accomplished the feat in 2007.
LEADING THE NATION
OU is one of five schools to lead in multiple individual categories and one of three to have two different players lead in seperate categories ... Chamberlain is one of only three players to have a slugging percentage above 1.000 ... Michelle Gascoigne is one of three players in the NCAA with an ERA of 1.00 or lower ... of the 11 team categories tracked by the NCAA, only Oklahoma and Georgia (HR/Game, Slugging) lead in more than one category ... OU ranks in the top 4 of four different categories, more than any other team ... the Sooners are the only school to rank among the top 4 in both a pitching and hitting category.
OU TAKES CONTROL IN BIG 12 TITLE HUNT WITH WINS AT TEXAS
The Sooners took two of three games at No. 6/7 Texas and now control their own destiny in the quest for the Big 12 championship.
In a 6-1 win in game one, Keilani Ricketts struck out a season-high 15 batters while the 7-8-9 hitters were 7-9 with 4 RBI. After losing 4-2, the Sooners came back in game three to win 5-3. Shelby Pendley hit a pair of home runs, while Michelle Gascoigne came on in relief and got the final two outs with the bases loaded.
BOTTOM OF THE ORDER LEADS THE WAY OVER LONGHORNS
Oklahoma's trio of Destinee Martinez, Callie Parsons and Brianna Turang spent the majority of the weekend in the 7-8-9 spots in the lineup, but their production helped the Sooners win the series.

RICKETTS' RECORD
Keilani Ricketts added to her stellar resume against Baylor on 4/7 by becoming the winningest pitcher in the history of Oklahoma softball.
Ricketts earned career win No. 116, passing former Sooner Jennifer Stewart, as No. 1 Oklahoma finished off a three-game sweep of No. 18 Baylor with an 8-0, six-inning win. Perfect through three innings against the Bears, Ricketts allowed only four hits in the game while striking out five and walking one.
"It means a lot with the tradition of excellence that we've had at OU to be mentioned in that category," Ricketts said of her record. "But it was also great to get the sweep in our conference opener against Baylor."
