NORMAN, Okla. - A makeup date of Tuesday, April 23 has been announced for the top-ranked Sooners' postponed game against North Texas. The contest will take place in Denton, Texas, with first pitch to come at 4 p.m.
Originally scheduled to take place in Norman on April 10, the game had to be postponed due to rain. The venue has now switched to North Texas' field due to class schedules of the Mean Green players limiting the team's travel options.
The Sooners have never lost to North Texas, holding a perfect 23-0 record. Sixteen of those wins have come in Norman, while OU has also won all seven matchups in Denton.
The teams have played each other at least twice in every season since 2004. Last year, OU won 4-1 at North Texas before taking a 9-4 decision in Norman.
Next up for Oklahoma is the first game of the Bedlam Series against Oklahoma State on Wednesday night. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
