Fourth Annual Sooner Open to Benefit Men's Golf Program

NORMAN, Okla. -- Details of the fourth annual Sooner Open, presented by the Chip In Club, were released today by the OU men's golf program.
 
The event, to be held Friday, Oct. 26 at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club (rated the country's 14th-best campus course in 2011 by Golfweek), serves as the OU men's golf program's primary fundraiser and as an opportunity for former OU golfers, staff members and supporters to gather.
 
Proceeds from the event, which takes place the day before the Sooners' home football game against Notre Dame, will go directly toward funding scholarships, capital projects and other ventures.

Last year, the Chip In Club saw a full field of teams enjoy a day of great golf, fellowship and fun.
