NORMAN, Okla. -The University of Oklahoma rowing team heads to Ann Arbor, Mich., this weekend to compete against No. 3 Michigan and No. 6 Ohio State on Saturday. This one-day event will close 2012 regular season competition for the Sooners.
Oklahoma will field six boats on the weekend with the second novice eight opening the racing at 8:00 a.m. CT and the novice eight competing at 8:10 a.m. CT.
The second varsity four will take on Michigan and Ohio State at 8:40 a.m. CT while the varsity four will face off against Ohio State at 8:50 a.m. CT.
The second varsity eight and varsity eight will take on Ohio State at 9:10 a.m. CT and 9:30 a.m. CT. The varsity eight has just one loss on the season in San Diego, Calif., where the crew placed third. The boat was also named the Big 12's first ever Boat of the Month for March.
The Sooners kick off the afternoon session with the second novice eight at 12:00 p.m. CT and the novice eight facing off against Michigan at 12:20 p.m. CT.
The second varsity four will again face Michigan and Ohio State at 12:40 p.m. CT while the varsity four tackles Michigan at 1:00 p.m. CT.
The second varsity eight will take on Michigan at 1:20 p.m. CT and the varsity eight closes competition for the day at 1:40 p.m. CT against Michigan.
The event is Oklahoma's final regular-season event as the Sooners prepare to host the Big 12 Rowing Championships on April 28 on the Oklahoma River in Oklahoma City.
