If You Only Knew ... Second Edition
The Sooners open the offseason schedule on March 30 at 6 p.m. against Oral Roberts at the OU Soccer Complex in Norman.
In preparation for the spring slate, SoonerSports.com will highlight each of the players on the 2012 squad.
Some of the questions and answers will be soccer related, while others will help fans get to know the Sooners better.
The second edition focuses on
junior midfielder Carley Yates from Edmond, Okla. Read more about her soccer career on the right and get to know her better below:

2. Biggest compliment given ... "You have nice hamstrings."
3. Biggest influence on your life and why ... My dad because of his attitude, work ethic and faith in Christ.
4. Strengths ... Eating a lot, athleticism, creativity.
5. Weaknesses ... Dr. Pepper, candy, cupcakes, ice cream... most all junk food ... and heights.
6. Favorite Candy ... Sour Patch Watermelons, crazy core skittles, Life Savers, all chocolate.
7. Dream holiday ... Uhh? ... Any holiday that we don't have school sounds good to me.
8. Do you have any heroes? No. But if Captain Jack Sparrow was real, he would be.
9. Do you have any hobbies, if so, please list them ... Golfing, running, scrap booking, rollerblading, climbing, skiing, cooking.
10. Name three people (famous, relatives, friends) you would invite to dinner? Jesus, Jake Gyllenhaal, David Beckham.
11. What is the last song downloaded on your ipod? The entire Tailgates & Tanlines album by Luke Bryan.
12. Favorite Movie ... Hercules- Disney Version.
13. Favorite TV show ... Angry Boys.
14. Tell us something that we don't know about you? I pull out my eyebrow hairs when I get nervous.
15. Describe yourself in five words ... Mellow, reliable, loving, passionate and adventurous.
16. In five years, I will be ... Working at a good job somewhere on the West Coast or in the Mountains... Hopefully!

Carley Yates Bio Brief:
As a sophomore Yates made her first career start against in-state rival Oral Roberts and also started at Arizona State. She has four career games played as a Sooner.
Carley comes from an athletic family as her older brother, Seth, played soccer (2002) and golf (2002-06) at the University of Washington. Her older sister, Shea, played soccer at Baylor University (2004-07) and also worked for the OU soccer program. Her father, Carlan, was on the Harvard rowing team (1973-77) and her uncle, Alan, lettered at Harvard in football and track (1972-76).
