NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma freshman Lauren Chamberlain has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week the conference announced on Tuesday. The honor comes after the Trabuco Canyon, Calif., native led Oklahoma at the plate as the Sooners went 6-0 over the last week including four run-rule victories.
Chamberlain connected on five home runs and 14 RBIs in the 14 at bats while hitting at a .571 clip during the week.
