NORMAN, Okla. -- No. 8/9 Oklahoma travels south to Denton, Texas, on Wednesday for its first midweek game of the 2012 season against North Texas at 6 p.m. The game is the first of five games in five days as OU (9-3) opens its home season on Friday against LSU at 6 p.m. before competing in the The Preview Saturday at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium against LSU and Iowa. The Sooners close the weekend with a home game against Iowa Sunday at 11 a.m.
Oklahoma is looking to bounce back from its first two-game losing streak since last year's Women's College World Series appearance after a five-game Cathedral City Classic last weekend in Palm Springs, Calif. The Sooners opened with a 5-0 win over San Diego State before back-to-back five-inning run-rule wins over UC Davis (10-0) and Boise State (9-0). OU then fell to No. 11/10 Stanford, 5-0, and No. 7/7 Georgia, 3-2, to close out the event.
Single game tickets for Oklahoma Softball went on sale today and can be purchased online at SoonerSports.com or by calling the Oklahoma Ticket Office at (800) 456-GoOU or (405) 325-2424. Oklahoma has 21 home games on its schedule beginning this Friday at 6 p.m. against LSU.
Single game tickets begin at $5 for general admission youth (K-HS) and senior citizens, ages 55 and older. General admission tickets for adults are $8 while reserved box seats are available for $10.
