NORMAN, Okla. — Two Oklahoma home softball games will be aired on ESPN this season the Big 12 Conference announced on Wednesday. In addition to the Big 12's announcement, Sooner Sports Properties announced Wednesday the airing of two OU softball games in March.
Oklahoma will face off against Missouri on ESPN on Sunday, April 22, at 2:30 p.m. and will also face Red River rival Texas on Sunday, May 6, at 1 p.m. If the season shapes up as projected, both games should be ranked battles as Oklahoma currently sits at No. 4 in the USA Today/NFCA poll while Missouri is No. 6 and Texas is No. 13.
In addition to Oklahoma's games on ESPN, Sooner Sport Network, in conjunction with Sooner Sports Properties, will air two OU home games in early March. The Sooners' game versus Austin Peay on Tuesday, March 6, at 5 p.m., will air in the state of Oklahoma on Cox Channel 3 or 703 (HD) while the two channels will also show OU take on Indiana on Friday, March 9, at 6 p.m.
Oklahoma has had 42 games televised in the last five seasons including 16 games on air in 2011.
