NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma wrestling team, ranked No. 10 in the latest USA Today/NWCA/AWN Division I Coaches Poll, travels back to the East coast to Albany, N.Y., for the 2012 Journeymen/ASICS Northeast Collegiate Duals at Hudson Valley Community College.
The annual Dual is widely recognized as one of the best early season collegiate wrestling events in the country and will feature 13 other teams, five of which are in the latest top-25 poll, in No. 8 Cornell, No. 16 Maryland, Rutgers, Binghamton, Columbia, Princeton, No. 11 Central Michigan, No. 6 Illinois, Hofstra, Army, Bloomsburg, Drexel and No. 23 Purdue.
It is Oklahoma's first time to appear in the 10th annual Northeast Duals, which features several perennial powerhouse programs.
The Sooners hit the mat after capturing their 14th-straight Brockport/Oklahoma Invitational title two weekends ago in Brockport, N.Y.
Kendric Maple tops all 141-pounders and still remains the lone Sooner with a No.1 spot in his respective weight class. Brothers Nick and Matt Lester each hold a spot in the top-25 at No. 8 (149) and No. 12 (157), respectively. Bubby Graham finds himself in the top-10 of all 165-pounders.
