6:11 p.m. | That Should Do It
Oklahoma recovers as Lacoltan Bester gets his hands on the ball. The Sooners should be able to run out the clock as Baylor only has one timeout left.
6:10 p.m. | Two-Point Conversion Good
Baylor has made it a one-possession game in Norman as QB Nick Florence plows ahead two yards. The Bears will attempt an onside kick trailing, 42-34, with 1:26 left.
6:06 p.m. | Crucial Conversion Coming
After Baylor's
6-yard touchdown, Oklahoma calls a timeout to gameplan for the upcoming two-point conversion attempt. Get a stop, it's over. Otherwise, we have a one-possession game with 1:26 left. Now, Baylor uses a timeout to talk it over. The Bears will have to attempt an onside kick after this regardless.
5:53 p.m. | Announced Attendance
Tonight's attendance was just announced at 84,945. That marks the 85th-consecutive sellout -- every game of the Bob Stoops' era -- extending the record at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
5:51 p.m. | Belldozer Time
Blake Bell saw some more playing time on OU's most recent drive, carrying the ball three straight times for a combined 18 yards.
Baylor will take over on its own 20-yard line.
5:46 p.m. | Looking at the Numbers
In parenthesis are Baylor's season-lows.With 11 minutes to play, Oklahoma is currently holding Baylor to 344 yards of total offense (432 vs. TCU) and 142 passing yards (312 vs. SHSU). The Sooners are the only team in the Big 12 to have not allowed 300 yards passing. A lot of time left, but impressive nonetheless.
5:37 p.m. | More on Bell
Blake Bell's 55-yard TD run was the longest by an OU quarterback
58-yard rush vs. TCU (9/12/98) and the longest touchdown run since an 80-yarder by Eric Moore vs. Baylor (10/18/97). It passed the longest rush by a quarterback in the Stoops era, set previously by Paul Thompson's 50-yard rush vs. Fresno State in (9/13/03). The score was his team-leading 10th TD of the season.
5:36 p.m. | Belldozer in Another Gear
On third-and-1, OU elected to go with the Belldozer package. While it's usually to excel in short-yardage situations, quarterback Blake Bell decided the first down wasn't enough. On his first play of the day, Bell sprinted 55 yards for the touchdown to help put the Sooners ahead, 42-26.
It came a yard shy of doubling his previous career-long rush. Bell's previous career-best was a 28-yarder against Oklahoma State on Dec. 3, 2011.
5:29 p.m. | Flyover Crew Recognized
The five-person crew that conducted the F-16 flyover prior to the game was recognized following the third quarter in the south end zone. Among them were two 1995 graduates of the University of Oklahoma, Major Robin Lytle and Major Jeff Milburn. Click here to see a picture of the pregame flyover.
5:25 p.m. | End of the Third
Baylor got as
close as 28-26, but Oklahoma will take a 35-26 lead into the final quarter and possession on its own 40-yard line.
5:21 p.m. | Williams is Back
Damien Williams now has his second multi-rushing touchdown game as a Sooner with two today. He also had four against Florida A&M. Additionally, Williams is 13 yards shy of his fourth 100-yard rushing game this season.
5:18 p.m. | There We Go!
After a rough start to the second half for the OU offense, the Sooners get back on track with a
12-play, 75-yard touchdown drive to make it a two-possession game in Norman. We can't overstate how huge the two-point conversion stop was for the defense, as well as Michael Hunnicutt's extra point after OU's most recent score.
5:14 p.m. | Belldozer Waiting
We believe the Belldozer has come onto the field three times today, but hasn't been able to operate due to penalties on both OU and Baylor. This one goes in OU's favor for a Sooners' first down. OU is in the red zone.
5:11 p.m. | Saunders' Big Grab
Jalen Saunders comes up with a huge
11-yard catch on third-and-7 for the Sooners to keep the drive going. He's tied for the team lead with five catches.
5:06 p.m. | Sooners Still Lead
Baylor scored on a 2-yard touchdown run from Lache Seastrunk to decrease the OU deficit to two.
The Bears attempted a two-point conversion to tie the game, but OU came up with the stop. Sooners lead 28-26, but have turned the ball over on both second-half possessions. OU scored two touchdowns in both the first and second quarters.
5:03 p.m. | "Right Back at 'Em"
Following Landry Jones' interception, wide receiver Justin Brown offered some encouragement, "Landry, right back at 'em." Sooners keeping their heads up after their second third-quarter turnover.
4:59 p.m. | Whew!
Not counting Baylor's last drive of the first half (one play to run out the clock), the Bears had scored on three straight possessions. That was until the Sooners came up with a big stop and forced Baylor to turn it over on downs.
4:54 p.m. | Kickoff Return, Turnover
The last two OU kickoff returns have each gone for 36 yards, one before the half by Brennan Clay and one just now by Roy Finch. OU's first offensive possession of the second-half, however, resulted in a fumble by Damien Williams. Despite having field position in Baylor territory, the Bears will get the ball right back at their own 41-yard line.
4:49 p.m. | Bend, Don't Break
Just like Baylor's first possession of the first half, the Bears finish their first of the second half with a field goal. BU made it to the Sooners' 5-yard line, but
only got one yard further on Nick Florence's scramble on third-and-goal. Kudos to Tony Jefferson for the huge open-field tackle. It's a one-possession game here in Norman.
4:42 p.m. | Set for Second-Half
The teams are back on the field and lining up to kick off the second-half. Baylor won the toss and elected to defer, so that Bears will start the third quarter on offense.
