Softball Banquet Set for Feb. 3

NORMAN, Okla. — The Oklahoma Softball program will hosts its annual Meet the Team Banquet on Friday, Feb. 3. The event, which is set to begin at 7 p.m. will give fans an early chance to meet the 2012 Oklahoma Softball team as it prepares to open its season on Feb. 10. The Sooners are coming off their sixth appearance in the Women's College World Series and return the majority of the 2011 squad including All-Americans Keilani Ricketts and Jessica Shults.

The banquet at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in Norman is open to the public and tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Barbara Stemm of OU's Diamond Club at 405-799-8612 or bstemm8612@aol.com or by contacting OU Director of Operations, Kaycee Clark, at 405-325-8377 or kaycee@ou.edu. Tickets need to be purchased by Wednesday, Jan. 25.

The University of Oklahoma Women's Softball Diamond Club is the official sponsor of the event and fans will be able to sign up to join the Diamond Club at the event with a minimum donation.
