OU Softball Announces Fall Schedule

NORMAN, Okla. — University of Oklahoma Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Programs and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione and Head Softball Coach Patty Gasso announced the Sooners' 2011 fall schedule Thursday. The eight-game slate will give Oklahoma softball fans an opportunity to catch the 2011 Women's College World Series team in action each week during the month of October along with the first week of November. The schedule is highlighted with a game against the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars on Nov. 3.

Action opens with an in-state battle against Seminole State on Oct. 5 with the Sooners returning to action one week later on Oct. 12 vs. Western Oklahoma State. OU hosts a Friday night game on Oct. 21 vs. Newman University before hosting its Fall Festival one week later beginning on Oct. 28 against Odessa College. The Sooners will take on North Central Texas and Murray State in back-to-back-games the following day before closing out the event against Connors State on Sunday, Oct. 30.

The Sooners close out the fall season with the previously mentioned battle against the NPF All-Stars on Nov. 3 as part of the team's Back to School Tour. The squad features the top professional softball players from the league's four organizations.

2011 Fall Schedule

General admission for all games is $6 with students K-12 $5 and senior citizens $4. Children under four will be admitted free of charge.
