SEATTLE – The of University of Oklahoma women's rowing team competed in the 25th Annual Windermere Cup today on Lake Washington in Seattle, finishing second behind Washington.

The varsity eight, consisting of coxswain Kelsey Witten and rowers Rebecca Staff, Meghan Farrell, Sarah Kelle, Brooke Sheppard, Nicole Furmanek, Nicole Bladow, Meagan Harrell and Katie Klassen finished with a time of six minutes and 57.100 seconds behind Washington (6:42.600). The Sooners defeated Cambridge by a 22.700 second margin (7:05.300).

OU heads to Oak Ridge, Tenn. May 14 and 15 for the Conference USA championship and the ACC/Big East Challenge.
