Weekend Promotions Set for Softball

NORMAN, Okla. – The 15th-ranked University of Oklahoma softball team returns home this weekend to face 19th-ranked Texas A&M. The Sooners have two days of great promotions scheduled for the series.

Earth Day is Friday, April 22 and the first 500 fans receive an eco-friendly reusable bag. Recyclable items will also be accepted at the gate.

The first 200 OU students receive a free green “Boren to Recycle” t-shirt and free pizza. All students in attendance may receive double Sooner Nation points by attending the game.

Stormin' Norman Weather Day is set for Saturday. Free OU ponchos are available to the first 250 fans and forecast and weather information will be made available by the Oklahoma Weather Lab and OU American Meteorological Society.

The OU rowing team will celebrate its Year of the Fan event beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The first 500 fans receive the limited addition Year of the Fan rowing pin and the team will hold a meet and greet.

Tickets remain for the game and can be purchased by calling the Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-GoOU. Reserved seats are $10 and general admission seating is $8. If tickets remain, there are available for purchase at the softball ticket office an hour and a half prior to first pitch.

Discounted group tickets are available for $4 for groups of 10-99. Groups of 100 or more are eligible for $3 tickets. Groups must be arranged at least 24 hours prior to the event. To purchase group tickets, please call (405) 325-2424.
