Austin, Texas – The University of Oklahoma rowing team heads to Austin, Texas, for the Longhorn Invitational this weekend, March 18-20. The event on Lady Bird Lake is hosted by the University of Texas and features novice and varsity teams from UCF, Iowa, Kansas State, Louisville, Oklahoma, San Diego and Wisconsin.
The Sooners take on Iowa Friday in the first and second novice eight, first and second varsity fours and first and second varsity eight events. The races begin at 5:20 p.m. CT Friday.
Oklahoma takes on Wisconsin in the Saturday morning session, competing in the first and second novice eight, first and second varsity four and first and second varsity eight events. Races begin Saturday at 9:20 a.m. CT.
The second novice eight faces host Texas on Saturday at 4:48 p.m.
The first novice eight, first and second varsity four and first and second varsity eight take on Louisville to complete the afternoon session. Those races begin at 4:56 p.m.
The Sooners conclude the weekend racing against UCF in the first novice eight, first and second varsity four and first and second varsity eight events. Races begin Sunday at 9:04 p.m.
